My first “antique” was a pair of Bauer salt and pepper shaker. 42 years ago. I didn’t have a kitchen, but I loved the aesthetic and muted colors of those shakers. They were the start of my appreciation for things that came with patina and stories. Eventually, I acquired enough treasures that I needed to start parting with some of them to make room. Approaching my fourth anniversary at Bliss Midtown. I prefer pre-war decorative and household pieces. And treasures collected when I travel. The thrill of finding something unique or surprisingly valuable feels like winning a jackpot.
