Zinnia Relief Column Vase 9.25" – Blue-Grey Art Pottery, Attributed to Cameron Clay Products (As-Is, Hairline)

A moulded art pottery vase in the form of a fluted column, with a large zinnia in high relief framed by leaves and stem, standing on a scalloped flared foot. The glaze is a soft blue-grey, semi-gloss, pooling darker in the recesses of the moulding — the kind of piece that reads as architecture from across a room and as a garden up close.

Attribution: The form, the moulded relief and the glaze are consistent with Cameron Clay Products of Cameron, West Virginia, which produced art pottery from the 1930s until its plant burned down in November 1964. Please note that this piece carries no maker's mark of any kind — the attribution is by form and glaze only, and is offered as an opinion rather than a guarantee.

Condition: Sold as-is. There is a hairline running down from the rim for approximately 1.5", with a small flake of glaze loss where it crosses a flute — please see the close-up photograph. The glaze is otherwise bright and the relief crisp, with the ordinary shelf wear you would expect on the foot.

Perfect For: A mantel, a bookshelf, or dried stems — please treat it as decorative rather than watertight given the hairline.
