Vintage Silver Plate Rose Garland Punch Bowl | EP Nickel Silver, Japan | Mid-Century Pedestal Centerpiece
### Description
There's a particular kind of romance in a piece made for gathering people together — and this footed punch bowl carries that spirit in every curve. A ring of hand-chased roses and trailing acanthus leaves wraps the scalloped rim, catching light differently from every angle, while the deep, softly domed bowl rests on a substantial pedestal base built to anchor a table.
This is the kind of piece that doesn't need punch to earn its place. Fill it with lemons for a kitchen island, float candles down the center of a holiday table, or let it stand alone on a sideboard as sculpture. It's been doing exactly that kind of quiet work in homes for the better part of a century.
Marked on the underside: E.P. Nickel Silver, Japan — mid-century electroplate, not sterling, which is part of why pieces like this are such a lovely way to bring old-world formality into a home without old-world pricing.
Pre-Owned
Details:
- Era: Mid-20th century (circa 1950s–1960s)
- Material: Electroplated nickel silver (EP), stamped "E.P. Nickel Silver, Japan"
- Dimensions: 12" diameter x 8.25" tall
- Weight: 2 lb 11 oz
- Condition: Marks and light scratching are present throughout the bowl's surface, consistent with age and years of polishing. There is a visible streak/line on the interior of the bowl that has not come out with cleaning — please see photos closely, as this is included as-is and will not be resolved by additional polishing. The scalloped rim shows minor age-appropriate waviness typical of hand-finished silver plate. No dents, cracks, or structural issues; the piece is sturdy and stands level.
Sold As-Is. All condition shown in photos — including the interior streak, surface marks, and rim waviness — is part of the sale. Please review photos carefully before purchasing; this is a well-loved vintage piece, not a polished reproduction.
Available for shipping or pick up. Pickup available only at Bliss Market, Roseville, CA.
