Set of 2 Robert Marble Signed Framed Prints Jammin & Friendship

A matched pair of framed cartoon prints by American illustrator Robert Marble, each one hand-signed in pencil by the artist.

Marble drew anthropomorphic animals doing ordinary things badly, and a small red bird 🐦 — his signature character — turns up somewhere in every picture. Here he is perched on the bench arm in one print and peeking out of the piano in the other.

This two-piece set includes:

1. "The Things We Do For Friendship" — a bear, a dog, a goat, a cat and a frog wedged onto one small park bench, with the redbird on the armrest.
2. "Jammin'" 🎹 — an animal band in full swing: an alligator at the upright piano, a bear on washtub bass, a raccoon on trumpet, a turtle on guitar, and two mice dancing on the lid.

Both are framed alike in dark-grain oak with navy and cream double mats under glass, pre-wired and ready to hang. Each frame carries the artist's studio backstamp on the back, which dates the framing to 1991 or later.
